Stephanie Chen, MS, MS, RDN, LDN has a passion for wellness, both mental and physical, and has a diverse background to complement it — a Masters in Psychology as well as a Masters degree in Nutrition (from Boston University). Through her psychology career, she had the opportunity to present novel body image research at various state and national conferences — including a thesis on the impact of clothing fit on mood, body dissatisfaction, and behaviors. Her interest in nutrition grew at this time and she chose to attend Boston University’s coordinated program, where she completed an MS in Nutrition and her dietetic internship. She then practiced as an outpatient dietitian at Boston Medical Center, before coming to Lori Lieberman and Associates. Stephanie specializes in kidney and heart disease, diabetes, GI issues, weight management, and eating disorders.

In her practice, she aligns with Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size®, and has trained with Lori on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-Enhanced (CBT-E) and the Family Based Treatment (FBT) methods for treating eating disorders. Overall, she is known for an approach that does not demonize any foods and focuses on behavior change, emphasizing balance and satisfaction as the keys to long-term success. As Lori has recently retired, Stephanie has taken over the practice management and plans to continue with her dedication to quality of patient care.

Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys activities outdoors, such as snowboarding, tennis/pickleball, and basketball, and trying new foods from different countries/cuisines — she is always on the lookout for unique restaurants or snacks.
