How long will my visit be?
Initial visit and follow-ups
Initial visits are booked for a solid hour, though we may run over a bit.
Follow up visits are typically 30 or 45 minutes.
How many times will I meet with a nutritionist and how often?
It depends on your needs, and your preference.
For some conditions, such as eating disorders, weekly visits are critical. For other conditions, a single visit or several might be all that’s needed. When addressing eating behaviors—including for weight management, diabetes, eating disorders, failure to thrive—following up between 1-2 weeks is valuable. You have a say in the scheduling.
What if my doctor says I have to see their nutritionist?
Doctors have the right to encourage you to stay within their medical group. BUT…
…You have the right to have the final word on who you want to see. If you feel that we are a better fit for you and we accept your insurance, your doctor cannot legally deny you access to seeing us.
How do I decide which nutritionist to book with?
We’ll help you.
Each of our providers has her own specialties. Give us a call. We’ll ask you a few questions and pair you up with the nutritionist that best meets your needs, based on your health and eating concerns, location, and schedule. If you are not delighted with the service, you can surely try someone else!
