Sharon Gallagher’s over 25 years of experience began at the Joslin Diabetes Center, after completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition from Cornell University, her Master’s in Nutrition Education from Framingham State University and her dietetic internship at Massachusetts General Hospital. She has worked as an outpatient dietitian at Harvard Vanguard and at Brockton Visiting Nurse Association counseling patients to take control of their high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, kidney disease and their weight. In addition to her work at Lori Lieberman & Associates, Sharon is Assistant Director of the Dietetic Internship program and Associate Professor of Practice at Simmons College, Boston, and has been an adjunct professor at Framingham State University for the past 20 years.
Sharon enjoys working with people with the goal of making nutrition and healthy eating understandable and realistic for her clients and students. “You mean I can eat that?” is a comment Sharon often hears at the end of a visit. She practices an approach of moderation and “all foods can fit”.
Sharon is a dietitian who likes to eat real food (her favorite food is ice cream). She was inspired to work for Lori Lieberman & Associates after viewing our website and seeing the cupcake on the front page!
